My Lucky Wish Blog
return to store

Today is St. Patrick’s Day so I felt it was appropriate to share something with you.

I have a little obsession.  It started about a year ago and honestly I don’t know where it came from.  I’ve been hooked on the color green.  Not just any green, but that apple, chartreuse-y, lime green.  Kelly green is fine, but those other greens are just gooood stuff.  As you can see from so many of the new designs on the new site, green seems to be a recurring theme.  I think of a limeade from Sonic (with the crushy ice), the green leaves of my hostas trying to come up after a long winter…a clean, fresh beginning.

Then there’s that other green.  Going green, being green.   Don’t be mistaken… the studio, my home, my lifestyle would not be considered very “green”, but I find myself trying to be conscientious when looking to add new products to our line of goods.  Our reusable aluminum and stainless steel water bottles and stainless steel travel mugs mean a few less plastic bottles in the landfill.  Our stationery is printed on recycled papers.  For picnics and gatherings, our melamine plates are a very stylish and green alternative to paper plates.  For those of you who have received an order in a box that was a little scuffed up, it’s because we reused it from something we might have ordered.  These are just examples and there is more, but my point is even the smallest things add up.

Trust me…I’m not calling anybody out and not asking anyone to take a look at themselves.  But if you ever wanted to know if My Lucky Wish even cared about the 3 R’s (reduce, reuse, recyle)….well, we do and we do try.

Ah, back to thinking about those pretty greens….
